Initial report of Peshawar’s Tuesday bombing made public

The initial report on Tuesday’s blast in Peshawar was presented by the police officials on Wednesday.

The report was formed on the findings of the 3-member probe team headed by SSP Investigation Masood Khalil.

The suicide bomber has been identified as a 18 to 20 years old tribal youngster in the preliminary report.

On Tuesday, at least nine persons were killed while 50 others were wounded when a suicide bomber blew up himself in a hotel in Koocha Risaldar Street located near Qissa Khwani Bazaar.

According to hospital sources, out of the 50 injured, 23 persons were discharged after medical treatment while 27 others are still under monitoring.

Four of those admitted to the hospital are in a critical condition, they added.

A spokesman for Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan Shahidullah Shahid has denied involvement in the attack.
