Gen Sharif, Saudi crown prince discuss defence cooperation

Saudi Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and defence minister on Wednesday received Pakistan Army chief General Raheel Sharif.
At the outset of the reception, the crown prince said he welcome General Sharif and the accompanying delegation in their second country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, wishing them a pleasant stay.
General Sharif expressed his happiness to visit the kingdom, expressing his thanks and appreciation for the generous hospitality and warm welcome accorded to him and the accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they reviewed the prospects for defence cooperation between the two countries, ways of enhancing them, and matters of common concern.
The crown prince decorated the Pakistan’s Army Chief with King Abdulaziz Medal of Excellent Grade which has been ordered by King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Those present from the Saudi side included Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, chief of crown prince’s court and special advisor; chief of the general staff, General Hussein bin Abdullah Al Qabil; and Deputy Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al-Bunyan.
