President Mamnoon Hussain has lauded the role of volunteers who have been affiliated with great cause of serving the humanity.
Addressing an awards ceremony in connection with International Volunteers Day here on Tuesday’ he said value of serving the humanity is common in all religions. He said irrespective of color’ creed or caste’ volunteers devote all their energies to this upright cause.
He paid rich tributes to founder of Red Crescent Society Henry Dunant who provided a platform for the discharge of collective efforts to serve humanity.
Referring to Islamic teachings’ Mamnoon Hussain said our responsibility increases when it comes to volunteering for ailing human lives.
The President acclaimed the role of Red Crescent Pakistan and said they exercised best of their abilities in times of disasters and calamities in the country.
He termed winning of International Volunteering Award 2011 as great achievement for Pakistan.
