PM orders construction of Mandra-Chakwal Sohawa- Chakwal roads

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has directed to construct Mandra-Chakwal and Sohawa- Chakwal roads on priority basis in order to provide relief to the people of the area.

The PM gave these directions in a meeting with MNA’s of Rawalpindi Division. The MNAs appraised the PM about issues pertaining to their constituencies. The delegation included Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan, Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Raja Muhammad Javed Ikhlas, Malik Ibrar, Malik Ihtebar Khan, Major (r) Tahir Iqbal, Sardar Mumtaz, Ch Khadim Hussain, Malik Iqbal Mehdi Khan and Isphanyar M Bhandara, Hamza Shahbaz and Capt (r) Mohammad Safdar, MNAs were also present during the meeting.

The prime minister said the government has decided to start Metrobus service in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

When Chaudhry drew his attention to the lengthy traffic jams at Tarnol Railways crossing, the Prime Minister issued necessary direction in this direction for the construction of a fly over or an under pass. He said flyovers would also be constructed at Gola More in Islamabad and near the Haj complex.

While speaking at the occasion the Prime Minister said that we are striving to have transparent and merit based governance system in Pakistan. He said that half of the economic problems of Pakistan can be resolved if we put our own house in order, through administrative measures of transparency, corruption free environment and good governance. The previous regimes did not pay attention to them, but we have taken up the challenge, PM told.

Nawaz Sharif said that we have put Pakistan on the road to progress through our objective policies. If we are able to improve law and order situation, Pakistan will start moving ahead on the road to progress, PM added. He told that we have started short-termed as well as long-term projects to cope with the energy shortage and efforts are being made to curtail gas load shedding.
