OGRA Corruption Case: Raja Pervez, Gilani summoned by court

ISLAMABAD-

An accountability court on Tuesday issued notices to former Prime Ministers Raja Pervez Ashraf and Yousuf Raza Gilani in OGRA corruption case.
National Accountability Bureau (NAB) submitted references of cases regarding the multi-million scam involving the Oil and Gas Regulator Authority (OGRA) and the appointment of its former chairman Tauqir Sadiq in the accountability court.
NAB submitted the references after removing the objections raised by the Registrar Office during the earlier hearing.
During the hearing of case of multi-million corruption in OGRA, the court issued summons to former prime ministers Yousuf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf and ordered them to appear on Feb 18.
On Saturday, former OGRA chairman Tauqir Sadiq appeared before the court.
He said that he had been sent to jail while no references were filed against him.
He added that the NAB officials did not inform him of the charges levelled against him.
Judge Mohammad Bashir had ordered NAB officials to file OGRA corruption case reference by February 4 and directed them to serve Sadiq a copy of the same.
