The brave people of Kashmir are struggling for their right of self-determination and they cannot be denied their fundamental right through state oppression for long, said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in a message on the occasion of Solidarity Day with Kashmiris.

The chief minister said that Pakistani people have always raised their voice against the atrocities committed against Kashmiris by the occupational forces and trampling of brethren today as well. He said that Indian occupation of held Kashmir and denial of the right of self-determination to Kashmiri people is highly lamentable. He said that solution of the Kashmir issue through dialogue is of vital importance for a durable peace in the region.

PTI LEADERS WANT RESOLUTION OF KASHMIR ISSUE: The PTI leaders said today every Pakistani would observe Kashmir day to express solidarity with the Kashmiri brethren and highlight their struggle against tyranny and injustice for raising the banner of independence and liberation against Indian subjugation.

Punjab chapter President Ejaz Chaudhary said that the struggle in Indian held Kashmir was an indigenous movement acknowledged not only in Pakistan but also worldwide. He said that the PTI like all other political forces of Pakistan not only fully support the ongoing struggle of the Kashmiris, but would continue to back the freedom movement through political and diplomatic means.

He also said that international community should play its role for the sake of the world peace to settle the issue according to the wish of Kashmiris and in accordance with the UNSC resolutions.

General Secretary Dr Yasmin Rashid said that Kashmir issue is a key to the normalisation to the relations between India and Pakistan. She said that until or unless the Kashmir issue is not resolved, peace in the region cannot be attained.

Secretary Information Andleeb Abbas said the PTI Punjab chapter is holding a ‘Kashmir Day Conference’ today to express solidarity with the Kashmiris fighting in the held Kashmir.

She said that Kashmir is an unfurnished agenda in the creation of Pakistan.
