Three Amn lashkar members killed in bombing

Three members of a peace militia (Amn lashkar) were killed and another critically injured in an explosion that was followed by heavy firing. Police said that militants were involved in the incident.

According to officials, a roadside bomb went off in the Mushtarzai area of Badhaber on the outskirts of Peshawar. The second bomb explosion in less than 12 hours.

Eyewitnesses said that a community police official who went to inspect the bomb site was attacked when a hand grenade was hurled at him. As his attacker tried to escape, he was intercepted by two other members of the peace committee.

“The two [peace committee members] were gunned down by the militants who managed to take away the gun of the injured police personnel,” said locals.
