A petition was filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Saturday against the government’s decision to keep prices of petrol and diesel unchanged for this month.
Petitioner Munir Ahmed stated that oil prices have decreased at international level but still the government has rejected Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority’s (OGRA) summary regarding decrease in petrol and diesel prices.
The court should seek procedure of fixing petroleum products’ prices from the government, he added. On Friday night, the government decided to keep prices of petrol and diesel unchanged. OGRA had proposed to decrease petrol price by Rs 3.4 and diesel price by Rs 5.3 per litre.
