The government Friday rejected the recommendations of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) seeking reduction in the POL prices.
Media reports say the finance ministry issued notification of maintaining all the petroleum products at the existing prices.
However, the government has decreased the light diesel oil price by Rs 1.24 per unit and kerosene oil by Rs 1.2 per unit but maintained all the remaining POL products’ at the existing prices with immediate effect from February 1, 2014 (today).
