You better be serious this time


The government showed seriousness for peace talks with the Taliban by setting up a committee for the purpose, said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday while talking to journalists.

He said the Taliban should also show seriousness and should not spoil this opportunity. He said there should be no doubt that the government was serious for peace talks.

About the local bodies polls, Shahbaz said the Punjab government will accept the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan in this regard.

Earlier, Shahbaz Sharif directed the authorities concerned to take indiscriminate action against those involved in electricity and gas theft.

He said that every possible step is being taken to resolve the issue of energy crisis. He said that agreements in energy sector have been signed with several foreign companies.
