Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday landed in Quetta and laid floral wreath on the martyrs’ monument to pay tributes to them.
Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik‚ Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai‚ Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif were also present on the occasion.
The PM offered fateha for the martyrs. He paid rich tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for peace and elimination of terrorism.
According to sources, the PM will have meetings with the provincial chief minister, governor and other political leaders during his brief visit.
The premier will also chair a meeting regarding law and order situation in the province.
The prime minister after holding important meetings and other engagements in Quetta will proceed to Karachi where he is likely to attend launching ceremony of Thar Coal power project.
He would also review law and order situation and ongoing operation in Karachi.
