National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) has requested the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to allot 20 acres of land to construct a bus depot for Metro Bus Service project.
The CDA Urban Planning director has been assigned the duty of finding an appropriate place for the bus depot. According to reports, the officials are searching for a suitable place in sector H-11.
Moreover, the civic authority has appointed Islamabad Bus Service Project Director Qazi Umar as a focal person to coordinate with NESPAK and Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) regarding Metro Bus Service.
Interestingly, RDA will carry out the construction work on Metro Bus Service even in Islamabad area while the CDA will just facilitate it. The Prime Minister also approved the proposal that Rawalpindi administration will construct the entire project.
A separate PC-I of the expenditure on the part of the project in Islamabad area will be prepared and the federal government will bear the expenses.
