FMDC placed under PIMS’ control

National Health Services (NHS) has placed Federal Medical and Dental College (FMDC) Islamabad under the control of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).

Ministry of National Health Services has sent the summary for recruitment of basic sciences professors in FMDC to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for approval and this way the problem of lack of teaching staff will stand resolved.

The doctors from PIMS will conduct classes and deliver lecturers to the students of FMDC now. A special team of PMDC will visit the college following the completion of process of enrolment of teaching staff therein and will lift ban on new admission into this college if the arrangements are found satisfactory.

Earlier, PMDC had banned new admissions into this college after finding the standard of education low. The students of this college had raised protest against this PMDC decision.

The students of FMDC have appealed to Nawaz to approve the summary as soon as possible to secure their future.
