2 accused held in Asghar Nadeem firing case

The city police have taken into custody two accused in the Asghar Nadeem Syed firing case and shifted them to an unknown place for interrogation on Monday.

Police said that the two accused, 25/30 years old suspected to be involved in the gun attack on the renowned playwright and columnist Asghar Nadeem Syed were apprehended from flats near Wapda Town. The accused are being investigated from different angles.

It may be recalled that Asghar Nadeem Syed was injured Tuesday when two unknown motorbike riders had opened fire on his vehicle near ShaukatKhanamHospital. He had received two bullet wounds, one pierced his left arm and the second damaged left rib cage and is still under treatment in the hospital.
