• Warns country could plunge into utter chaos if war is entrusted upon militants
The banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Monday said that the government was not sincere in holding dialogue with them.
Talking to reporters from an undisclosed location, a TTP spokesman said the TTP was not involved in carrying out bomb blasts in mosques and bazaars. He alleged that the government was carrying out an operation killing innocent people under the guise of holding dialogues.
He further alleged that the incumbent government is using talks as a political and war weapon, like the previous governments. He warned that the country could plunge into utter chaos if the war is entrusted upon them.
The TTP spokesman said talks could only prove fruitful if patriotic and sincere people are involved in the process. He said the TTP is an ideological group and it doesn’t believe in politics based on lies and deceitful tactics, only political parties believe on such practices.
He said that those who blame Taliban of having no agenda for negotiation for peace should be aware of the fact that they have crystal clear viewpoint regarding meaningful talks.
The TTP spokesman accused the government of becoming hostage at the hand of hidden powers and putting the country’s interest at stake. “We are for safeguarding the lives of Muslims and we always use precautionary steps while targeting government institutions, ensuring least damages to the public,” he said.
He accused the secret agencies of abducting, killing and dumping bodies of missing persons. He said that the war which was initiated at the will of the US to grab US dollars is still continuing.
Military officials also believe a limited advisory mission will help maintain progress Afghan security forces made in recent years.
