• Urges media to exercise restraint while reporting events
Minister for Information Pervez Rashid has said that terrorists want to impose their agenda on the country but will never be allowed to do so.
Talking to journalists at Parliament House in Islamabad on Monday‚ he said the joint committee constituted by the prime minister comprising ministers of interior and information to deal with the security issues of journalists will meet on Friday. Representatives of journalists’ associations will represent the journalistsin the meeting.
He said every citizen of the country including journalists and politicians has been hit by terrorism.
He urged the media to exercise restraint while reporting events.
