Advisor to the prime minister and senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Ameer Maqam has said the government is keen to restore peace and willing to hold talks with Taliban for the purpose.
Talking to a private TV channel Sunday, Ameer Maqam asked the PTI Chairman Imran Khan, JUI-S chief Samiul Haq, JUI-F head Fazlur Rehman and the JI Ameer Munawar Hassan to unearth the agenda of the Taliban.
The PM’s advisor said that the government is desirous to restore peace, avoiding any anarchy or bloodshed, however, he clarified that any agenda challenging the writ of the government will not be accepted at any cost.
Amir Maqam warned that if the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government stayed away of the federal government efforts to eliminate terrorism, militancy would rise in the country.
