The Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) Khairpur has awarded an honorary Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) degree to Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Sunday.
Varsity’s Vice Chancellor Dr Parveen Shah presented the degree to the chief minister in recognition of his services to democracy as well as the country.
Qaim Ali Shah has also become a doctor after being awarded with the honorary degree. He is the second prominent politician, who received an honorary PhD degree in the current month as earlier Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was awarded an honorary PhD degree by the Government College University (GCU) Lahore on January 17.
