30 food outlets challaned for unhygienic conditions

CDA’s Directorate of Health Services (DHS) has challaned 30 food outlets and issued warning notices to 120 for not maintaining hygienic standards during last week.

The DHS is continuing campaign against food outlets and restaurants to ensure serving healthy and hygienic food to the Capital’s residents. The campaign has been launched on the directives of Amer Ali Ahmed, Member Administration of Capital Development Authority (CDA).

According to CDA sources, the DHS staff inspected shops and restaurants in different sectors of Islamabad and challaned 30 food outlets for violating hygienic conditions.

They confiscated 60 utensils, besides 32 litter expired ketchup, rusty trays and 30 expired bottles of soft drinks, which were destroyed on the spot.
