Supreme Court of Pakistan Saturday ordered the authorities to release six foreign prisoners who were detained for illegal border-crossing.
The two-member review board of the apex court headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk heard the case.
During the case proceedings, law enforcement agencies presented 32 illegal migrants before the court, who belong to India, Bangladesh, South Africa and other countries.
The Ministry of Interior officials presented details regarding the inmates, according to which, six of the prisoners had completed their jail-terms.
The review board ordered authorities to release the six prisoners and directed the Ministry of Interior to submit a written record in the next hearing.
