The city police Saturday released sketches of target killers belonging to a banned sectarian outfit.
While addressing a press conference, SP CID Raja Umar Khitab said that Wasim Hussain Jafri was the mastermind of target killers who were members of banned Sipah-e-Muhammad.
One target killer has been arrested from Gulistan-e-Johar, he said. The suspects, he revealed, used to target people at a monthly payment of Rs 15, 000.
On the other hand, Rangers personnel have conducted targeted raids in various areas of the metropolis and arrested 22 suspects including alleged TTP militants on Saturday.
More than 1,000 Rangers personnel took part in the operation. The action was carried out in Mominabad’s Bukhari Colony and SITE Metroville areas.
Criminals involved in heinous crimes were arrested, Rangers spokesperson said, adding that weapons including SMGs, rifles and mixed ammunition were also seized.
Meanwhile two unidentified bodies were found under Labsela Bridge. According to police, the victims were kidnapped and tortured to death. Two gang war suspects identified as Nazar Muhammad and Abdul Jabbar were killed in alleged encounter with police in Lyari’s Baghdadi area.
An unidentified person’s body was found near Crown Cinema on Mauripur Road on the previous day, told the police.
