Islamabad High Court (IHC) has contradicted a news item appeared in a section of press that Chief Justice Muhammad Anwar Khan Kasi has forwarded the names of Imtiaz Rasheed Siddiqui and Ehtasham Qadir Shah to the chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) for appointment as IHC judges.
“In reality, the chief justice has never proposed the names of advocates appeared in the news item,” said theIHC additional registrar in a press statement.
The news item is completely false, misleading and sequel of propogatory campaign against the court, which is against the honest journalistic canons universally recognised, it added.
