The Punjab Home Ministry has decided to impart technical training to inmates of all jails in the province.
According to sources, a summary has been sent to Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for approval.
The ministry in collaboration with the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) will train the prisoners for different skills including motor mechanic, hairdressing, mechanical and other trades.
The project will be launched after the approval of the chief minister.
