IAEA calls for help to pay for inspection of Iran

The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) called on member states on Friday to help pay for an increased inspector workload in Iran as a result of its task to verify the implementation of a landmark nuclear deal with world powers.
Yukiya Amano, director general of the U.N. atomic watchdog said the agreement was an “important step forward towards achieving a comprehensive solution” to the decade-old Iran nuclear dispute.
But he told an extraordinary meeting of the IAEA’s 35-nation governing board that “there is still a long way to go”.
