Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday approved the surgical strikes against the militants, especially in North Waziristan Agency (NWA), paving the way for the government to own the military offensive started in NWA and Tirah in the wake of the recent terrorist attacks.
The approval was accorded during a meeting held to review the situation following surgical air strikes in parts of Mir Ali and Tirah Valley which left over 60 militants killed, including a trainer of suicide bombers.

  1. Fighting a asymmetrical war is never easy but once a decision has been made every pakistani should stand up to be counted. it has nothing to do with war on terror or Islam. It is a war for survival of Pakistan at stake. Pakistan is an islamic country and no one can question it’s credentials. The enemies of Pakistan will attack innocent individuals by intent while the collateral damage by the army is inevitable.. How long can a Govt. be held hostage?

  2. Whats really alarming is the fact that the PM of Pakistan is still getting briefed on the security situation.Nawaz, you have been in power for 7 months now,you have not even lifted a finger so far,you know whats going on,you know who is behind all this, you know what it will take, you just don’t have the guts or the desire to do it.You are and always will be a failure, just like the last 2 times, you will get booted out,and rightfully so.You are about as useless as they come(Zardari) You will go on to waste another 5 years like PPP did and claim something like PPP did(democracy) What good are your promises? energy crisis still there only worse, terrorists still killing the innocent, economy still s u c k s,rupee has no value now thanks to you and Dar.I can go on for hours but I’m only wasting my time

  3. It is no secret that the great nation of Pakistan is plagued with terrorism. Terrorist elements are fully focused on sending the nation into chaos and frenzy through indiscriminate killings. Thousands of innocent people have been killed in suicide attacks. We share a common stance against terrorism and wish to see peace prevail throughout the region. Our forces are countering insurgency on both sides of the border. We’ve lost thousands of brave soldiers on both sides of the border in fighting terrorism. It is also important to keep in mind that the terrorists also see our nations as a common threat to their terrorist agenda. Therefore, it only makes sense for us to remain unified in regard to our shared peace objectives in the region. We greatly appreciate Pakistan’s sacrifices in the region and fully support their efforts to restore peace and stability in the region.
