Anti-polio drive suspended in Sindh

Lady Health workers have announced suspending anti-polio drive across Sindh following the killings of three workers in Karachi area of Qayyumabad Tuesday morning.

Speaking to media, Sindh Lady Health Workers Association Chairman Khairun Nisa said polio workers were being killed and no one was there to look after them.

She said the Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon had clearly told her that whatever security was being provided to polio workers was enough.

Khairun Nisa further said that polio workers were being killed only for Re 250 per day, while police force was itself fearing for their lives.
