Sindh govt to purchase Re 6.5bn armored vehicles, vests

Sindh government has decided to purchase 300 armored vehicles and more bullet proof jackets for safety of the police officials.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has approved a summary of purchasing 300 armored vehicles, bullet proof mobile vans, and bullet proof jackets to boost morale and safety of 30,000 police officials.

This purchasing for the police force would cost Re 6.5 billion extra to the Sindh exchequer and CM Shah has said there is nothing more important than security of the citizens.

Karachi’s police Chief has claimed that 20 armored vehicles will be supplied in next week to the police force and no compromise will be done in this regard to restore peace.

Sindh government has also assured of appointing 70 heirs of the Sindh police martyrs during this weeks.
