Punjab Youth Festival: RAC organises competitions in Gujar Khan

The Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) Sunday organised tehsil-level competitions of songs and poetry in Gujar Khan.

More than 74 candidates participated in male and female categories separately organized in GovernmentSarwarShaheedBoysCollege and GovernmentCollege for Women.

RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed and Farhat Hafeez distributed prizes among position holders in girls colleges, while the resident director and Asif Satti distributed prizes among the winners in boys colleges.

In female category of national songs and poetry competition, Kainaat, Aneela Abrar and Shahnila Gul got first, second and third position respectively and Anisha Iftikhar, Rubab Rashid and Rafia Nisar were also among the winners.

Similarly, in male category, Moazzam Ali, Ans Mehmood and Haseeb Ullah Khan secured first, second and third position respectively and Muneeb Tahir, Usman Butt and Mehmood Munir were also among the winners.

Speaking about the benefits of Punjab Youth Festival, Waqar said that unique talent emerged through this festival. He said this is the vision of Chief Minister Punjab to provide opportunities to the youth so that they show their talent.

Farhat Hafeez said that Punjab Youth Festival will become a great source to turn the youth towards positive activities.
