No compensation for Musharraf: Rana Sanaullah

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has said the government will comply with orders of the court in Pervez Musharraf treason trial but will not extend any relaxation at all.
Talking to a private TV channel on Friday, Rana Sanaullah said that after his retirement, Pakistan Army has no link with Pervez Musharraf and the army is being dragged into the issue unwarrantedly.
He said that Punjab government has never impeded the local bodies election but opposition on its own moved the court making the government party in the case. It is the election commission’s (ECP) job to decide when to hold LB polls and the Punjab government will follow the directives in this regard, he added.
The law minister said that Punjab government has nothing to do with LB polls and the ECP in the light of court’s verdict will decide about the delimitations and local government election.
The Punjab government will follow the decision of the ECP in accordance with the constitution and laws of the land, he maintained.
