The Sindh Government has decided to postpone the transfers and promotions of deputy inspector generals of police (DIGs) in Sindh over the reservations of Rangers director general (DG).
According to reports, only Rao Anwar has been posted as Malir SSP, Imran Shaukat is told to report to Central Police office while the transfers of other DIGs have been postponed over increasing concerns by the Rangers DG.
On Wednesday, Sindh Rangers Director General Major General Rizwan Akhtar had expressed reservations during his meeting with the Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah regarding transfers of high-level officials in Karachi police.
