Shabbir Shah calls for shutdown on January 26

Senior APHC leader and Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Chairman Shabbir Ahmad Shah has called for complete shutdown on January 26 to mark India’s Republic Day as black day in the territory.

Shabbir Ahmad Shah made the announcement while addressing a meeting at DFP headquarters in Srinagar,” Kashmir Media Service(KMS) reported.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir National Front,Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Mahaz-e-Azadi President Muhammad Iqbal and Islamic Political Party Chairman Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, and Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front-R,Chairman Farooq Ahmad Dar.

“It is our responsibility to foster ideological unity in achieving our goal of freedom and we will sincerely take our mission to its logical conclusion,” the members vowed on the occasion.

Meanwhile, APHC leaders, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash and

Muhammad Iqbal Mir visited the residence of deceased Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League leader, Abdur Rasheed Khan, in Islamabad town and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family. They eulogized the services of Abdur Rasheed Khan and his family for the Kashmir cause.

Ahmad Parray in a statement while condemning the assertion made by Indian army chief about black law AFSPA appealed to the people to observed 26th January as black day in occupied Kashmir.
