Gaza rockets shot down by Israel, responded by air strikes

Five rockets fired from the Gaza Strip on Thursday were intercepted and responded with a series of air strikes by the Israeli military. The retaliatory attacks hit two Hamas camps, wounding five people, Palestinian security officials said.
Israel’s Iron Dome missile defence system shot down the missiles over the coastal city of Ashkelon, about 12 km north of Gaza.
No group has claimed responsibility for the rocket attacks but Israel says it holds the Palestinian ruling Islamist group Hamas responsible for all cross-border rocket fire.
