Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has conducted eight operations in various cities, arrested 10 drug
smugglers including two foreigners and recovered cocaine, opium, charas and heroin.
ANFRawalpindiAirport team arrested an accused Philippine lady MA Leonora Galvez Francisco resident of ZamboangaCity, Philippine at IslamabadAirport and recovered 1.2 kg cocaine. The accused lady was coming from Doha by Qatar Airline flight No. QR-614.
Drugs was concealed inside 5 ashtrays placed in her baggage, said a press release.
ANF Rawalpindi carried out an operation near Chowk Chamat, Tehsil Jhand, District Attock and recovered 1.8 kg charas from
personal possession of two accused persons namely Noor Khan r/o Tehsil Jhand and Javed Iqbal r/o Jabi Lakar Mar, Tehsil Jhand. The accused have been arrested.
ANF Rawalpindi Airport Team arrested an accused Turkish person namely Dolgun Niazi r/o Istanbul, Turkey at Islamabad Airport and recovered 2.9 kg heroin tactfully concealed in his trolley bag. He was travelling from Islamabad to Doha by Qatar Airline Flight No.
QR-615.
ANF Lahore Airport Team arrested accused Muhammad Ashraf r/o Kalaiki Mandi, District Hafizabad at LahoreAirport, who confessed of having ingested capsules filled with Heroin. He was travelling to Jeddah by Saudian Airline Flight No. EY-242.
ANF Lahore during scanning of parcels recovered 1.02 kg heroin tactfully concealed in potato cutter, which was booked in a parcel to Canada. The consignment was booked through Express Reliance Courier Service.
ANF Peshawar Spot Check Team intercepted a car Honda Civic VTI, Registered No. VV-155 near Kacha Gharhi, Jamrud Road, Peshawar and recovered 7 kg opium and 4 kg charas concealed in the vehicle. The accused driver named Imran Dilawar r/o Hayatabad, Peshawar has been arrested.
ANF Peshawar Spot Check Team intercepted a Toyota Hiace (without number plate) near Bannu Road, Indus Highway, D.I.Khan and recovered 2 kg charas placed inside the vehicle. Two accused persons have been arrested, namely Aziz Ullah r/o Lakki Marwat and Rehmat Ullah r/o Lakki Marwat.
ANF Peshawar carried out an operation near Mazil Chowk, Mandian, District Abbottabad and recovered 3.5 kg charas from personal possession of two accused persons namely Saeed Ur Rehman r/o Mohhal Sir Ghazizabad, District Kohistan and Muhammad Younas r/o Challahabad Pitten, District Kohistan. The accused have been taken into custody.
ANF Peshawar Spot Check Team intercepted a motorcycle Honda-125 and recovered 0.5 kg charas from personal possession of accused Muhammad Riaz r/o D.I.Khan. Accused has been arrested at the spot.
Cases have been registered in ANF Police Stations and further investigations are under process.
