The Punjab Youth Festival 2014 is not only providing an opportunity to the youngsters of the province to showcase their abilities but the footballers have also got a chance to display their skills.
And with the footballers expressing their abilities in the sport, the football grounds have also started to give festive look. The Gulberg Town football matches were held at the Model Town Fame Football Club ground and on the opening day six teams were seen in action. Block A of Union Council 97 defeated Block 1 by 2-1 margin, UC 128 Block 2 beat Block 7 on penalty shootout 4-3. Both the teams failed to score a single goal in the given time and then they were given penalties to decide the winner.
Meanwhile in the snooker matches of Gulberg Town held at Barkat Market, where Sajid Ali, Rashid Aziz, MIan Sheraz, Mohammad Asif, Mujtaba Malik, Agha Waqas, M Naeem and Wasim were the winners to compete in the next round while in cricket, Umer XI and Fazan XI were the winners.
