Pakistan and China have decided to constitute an ”Experts Working Group” on setting up energy and development projects in Pakistan with focus on their financing.
This was decided at a meeting between Water and Power Minister Khawaja Asif and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) Chairman Jiang Jianqing in Beijing.
Khawaja Asif invited Chinese investors to participate especially in coal-based Gaddani Power Park‚ Solar Power Park in Punjab as well as in wind and hydel projects such as Bhasha‚ Dasu and Bunji Dams.
The ICBC chairman appreciated the Pakistani government policies for mitigating the energy problem.
