The Sindh government has decided to impose a ban on pillion riding in Karachi from midnight tonight till January 15th.
The ban is part of the overall security plan to ensure peace on the ocassion on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal (Eid Milad-ul-Nabi SAW) falling on Tuesday.
In addition, the Sindh is also considering suspending cellular services on that day.
The ban shall not be applicable to women, children below the age of 12 years, senior citizens, disabled persons, journalists, personnel of law enforcing agencies in uniform and employees of essential services.
