Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday directed officials concerned to ensure quota for provinces and special persons in the Youth Business Loan Scheme.
Nawaz said this while presiding over a meeting to review the progress of the scheme here at the PM’s House.
He directed National Bank of Pakistan Chairman Muneer Kamal to review the rejected applications and ascertain the grounds on which they were rejected. He said if the application were found correct, these should be added to the list of eligible applicants. The PM stressed upon transparency in the scheme and said that favouritism would not be tolerated. He also directed the officials concerned for speedy processing of the applications. Nawaz said he would personally review the progress of the scheme.
The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed and Youth Scheme Honorary Chairperson Mariam Nawaz.
