The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday gave a 15-day deadline to the federal government for appointing of chairman of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
A three- member bench of SC headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Tassaduq Hussain Jillani was hearing the PIA corruption case.
The additional attorney general (AAG) told the court that the commission for appointments on high posts has sent three names for the post of PIA chairman to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for final approval.
The name for the post will be finalised after all three candidates have been interviewed by the PM, added the AAG.
The CJP remarked that it does not want to give any observation regarding this case because it will affect commercial activities of PIA.

There is no direct Flight from Europe to Pakistan anymore. This is a humiliation for our Nation. They stopped these flights for Haj flights but have not resumed it after that.
