A petition has been filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) to bring the assets of 60 politicians and bureaucrats back in country from abroad.
The petition has been filed by a local citizen Peer Imran. Petitioner has argued that nearly 60 politicians and bureaucrats have transferred more than 30,000 million dollars out from the country trough money laundering.
The petitioner has pleaded that this step of politicians and bureaucrats has damaged national exchequer and country is facing severe financial crises.
It is said in petition that these 60 politicians and bureaucrats who have been made party in case have not submitted their affidavits in court despite of courts order.
The petitioner pleaded that court should issue the orders to these 60 politicians and bureaucrats including PM Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Bilawal Bhutto, Shujaat Hussain, Imran Khan and Pervez Elahi to bring their assets back in the country.
Other than that it has been also pleaded that court should also issue the orders to implement its orders in connection with submission of affidavits in court regarding assets.
