Mobile phone service is likely to be suspended on 12th of Rabiul Awal across the country, media quoting sources reported on Thursday.
Law enforcers have warned possible attacks in various areas, including Karachi on the Eid Miladun Nabi, sources said.
After threats, it has been decided to suspend mobile services in the several cities and towns.
Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, KP governments will make a formal request to the federal government about suspension of mobile phone service from 7am to 11pm, sources added.
The federal government will approve the request as the final decision has already been taken to suspend the service to avoid any untoward incident.
