The biometric system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) flopped within three months of installation, a private news channel reported on Thursday.
A global positioning satellite (GPS)-based biometric system was installed in public as well as educational institutions to ensure 100% attendance. The channel reported that employees were recording their attendance in registers.
At government institutions around 60 per cent of the employees were not able to enter their data into the machines. Some machines only worked for two days after installation.
