Attorney General (AG) Munir A Malik is expected to resign from his post, media reported on Wednesday.
According to reports, Malik had informed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif about his decision on Tuesday.
Malik told the prime minister that he had to travel abroad for treatment of his ailing wife. The sources said that he was likely to resign on Friday. They said that Salman lawyer Butt was expected to be appointed as the attorney general.
