Abid flayed for accusing KP ministers of power theft

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak on Thursday advised State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali to avoid propaganda against KP ministers.
Talking to reporters, Khattak said the federal government was not sincere in resolving the power crisis, adding that purpose of Abid Sher Ali’s visit to Peshawar aimed at misguiding the people.
The CM rubbished the allegations levelled against his ministers regarding their involvement in power theft and said that such tactics were being used to create misunderstandings among the people over power crisis issue.
Khattak said the KP government has handed over the charge of three police stations to the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) to deal with power theft cases.
KP Information Minister Shah Farman admitted power theft but denied involvement of the KP ministers.
PESCO officials were involved in supporting electricity theft and the units consumed during this were included in bills of people or line losses for which other consumers had to pay, he added.
