Pakistan seeks Chinese cooperation in energy sector, says Kh Asif

Talking to Beijing Exim Bank Chairman Li Ruogu, Water and Power Minister Khawaja Asif said four new energy blocks to be set up to attract foreign investment.

He said Pakistan is seeking to intensify cooperation with China in the energy sector to overcome power crisis.

He said Chinese companies are playing a major role in changing the situation in Pakistan and these companies have a strong commitment to Pakistan and its economy.

The Exim Bank chairman assured full cooperation for various energy development projects in Pakistan.

Both sides also discussed investment in different projects of alternate energy resources in Pakistan.

Later‚ the China’s Economic Corridor head also called on the minister.
