Water supply to the city from Dhabeji Pumping Station will be disrupted for 36 hours from Wednesday morning due to routine maintenance work at the KESC Dhabeji Grid Station and Dhabeji Pump House.
In a statement, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) said that water supply would be partially disrupted for 36 hours to Saddar, Clifton, Jamshed Town, Lines Area, DHA, Korangi, Landhi, Qayyumabad, Baldia, Orangi, SITE, Keamari, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Gulistan-e-Johar. So, water supply will remain suspended during this period to North 2 Karachi and Mianwali Colony. Giving details, it said the KESC would carry out maintenance work at Dhabeji Grid Station on Wednesday from 9 am to 5 pm at K-III and IV Phase-8, therefore, water supply during this time would remain suspended. While Dhabeji Pump House K-III will be shut down for another 28 hours for routine maintenance. These maintenance works will cause a total 36 hours water supply disruption.
KWSB Managing Director Qutbuddin Shaikh has appealed to the people to use water prudentially and have proper water stock.
