Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al Faisal on Tuesday expressed his hopes of Pakistan playing a role in improving Saudi Arabia’s ties with Iran.
Al Faisal met with the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz to discuss bilateral ties, challenges confronting the Muslim world as well as the situation in Afghanistan, Iran and Syria.
During the talks, Aziz said that Iran and Saudi Arabia were two crucial states in the Muslim world and that Pakistan considered the kingdom a brotherly country.
Al Faisal said Saudi Arabia extraordinarily values its ties with Pakistan.
The Saudi FM will also be meeting President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during his two-day visit. He is the highest ranking official to visit Pakistan in years.
During the joint press conference, Al-Faisal was also asked about Saudia’s rumoured role in securing a safe exit for the former president Musharraf who faces a number of cases including a high treason case in Pakistan.
Al-Faisal denied the rumours.
Musharraf’s trial is internal matter of Pakistan,” he said.
The sooner the Saudi government stops aiding and encouraging the Takfiris the better for the whole region. It is great that Al Faisal extends a hand of friendship towards Iran.
Iran also supports and trains different shias to fight in Pak and middle east sunni states. A very good number of such people has been arrested in KPK. The sunnis of Iraq and Syria have been brutally killed and tortured that is why the people over there have resorted to suicide bombings and other attacks. SSP also came into being due to very dirty and abusive language used by Shias against the Companins (Sahabas) RA Ajmaeen of our Holy Prophet (SAW). Each action has reaction so these are the reactions of what you or others like you did in past. We must respect each others ideas otherwise we'll always be fighting as we are. You know when we'll be in state of war, we'll never feel comfort. Never use such words/phrases that are hatred ones like takfiris etc.
