The central Shoora of the Jamaat e Islami has called upon the government to abandon the idea of giving India the Most Favourite Nation (MFN) status in the present situation and adopt an honourable strategy towards it, as an ideological and atomic state.
A resolution adopted by the Shoora during its meeting, expressed grave concern over India’s occupation of Jammu and Kashmir, its water aggression against this country besides its conspiracies to destabilise Pakistan through terrorism and subversive activities of which sufficient evidence was available.
The Shoora slated India’s plans to divert Kishan Ganaga’s water in order to sabotage the Neelum dam project by Pakistan. It also deplored Islamabad’s ineffective defense on the issue in the International Court of Justice.
The JI central body expressed serious concern over Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s unilateral endeavour to befriend India despite India’s hostile policies against this country.
It demanded that the efforts to woo New Delhi be given up and New Delhi be told in clear terms that normal relations with this country were impossible unless the Kashmir issue was resolved and India gave up its conspiracies to destabilise this country.
Through another resolution, the Shoora condemned the pro-India policies of the Bangladesh government leading to bloodshed, terrorism and execution of innocent people in so called war crime trials.
It said that Haseena Wajid’s vindictive policies had pushed her country to the point of destruction. It noted that the so-called international crimes tribunal was an unlawful body and the UN, the US, China, Britain and human rights bodies had strongly opposed the body.
