The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has rejected the petition filed to bar possible exit of former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf from Pakistan on Monday.
The petition filed by Shohada Foundation through Tariq Asad Advocate stated to bar former president from leaving the country as several cases against him were still pending in the court.
During today’s proceedings, Justice Shaukat Aziz remarked that it is the job of the special court to ensure his appearance. He could not exit from the country without the permission of the court.
He further said that they could not interfere in the jurisdiction of the special court, constituted to hear treason case against Musharraf.
