10 militants killed while making bombs in Tirah

At least 10 militants were killed and several others injured after explosives went off in a compound in village Miangano Keley in Tirah valley of Khyber Agency on Monday.
Reports from the valley revealed that the militants were preparing bombs. In the meantime, explosives went off, killing 10 on the spot and injuries to several others. The injured were shifted to hospitals.
According to reports, the militants were preparing bombs in a compound, adjacent to a madrassa. The government has claimed bringing Tirah valley in control whereas troops are deployed in all over the area.
Separately, at least two people, a schoolchild and policeman, were killed in violence in Hangu and Peshawar on Monday.
An official said that a suicide bomber had blown him up outside the Government Boys School in Ibrahimzai Hangu. A ninth grade student was killed on the spot.
According to police official, the suicide bomber reached the school in a passenger coach and tried to enter the school. However, student Eitizaz Hussain overpowered the terrorist after which he blew himself up. The banned terrorist group Lashkar-e-Jhangavi spokesman claimed responsibility for the suicide attack.
Meanwhile, several people carrying arms entered Naseerullah Khan Babar Hospital on Kohat Road, shot dead a policeman and fled from the scene.
Meanwhile, Government Girls Primary School Havaid Bannu was destroyed in twin bombings. An official said that unidentified people had planted bombs in the school which went off with an interval of few minutes. The school building was completely destroyed. However, no casualties were reported.
