Sindh Rangers on Saturday arrested seven suspected militants in different raids conducted in Sohrab Goth and Gulshane-Iqbal areas, and have claimed the involvement of a political party in the fresh target-killings in Karachi.

Spokesman of the paramilitary Rangers said in a statement that the law-enforcers have found evidences about a political party’s involvement in Friday night’s killings.

“There is a complete harmony between Sunni and Shia sects, but sectarian killings are a conspiracy to spoil peace in Karachi,” the Rangers said, claiming that killers would soon be arrested.

The held persons are reported to be interrogated about the Maskan Chowrangi incident where three persons were gunned down at a juice shop while five others sustained bullets wounds last night.

It is pertinent to mention here that at least nine people have lost their lives in less than 24 hours in various firing incidents across the city.
